About Us
Telkes is run by a group of energy professionals who realized that land is often the limiting factor when it comes to power projects, and seek to apply technology to solve this problem. We were inspired by the story of Mária Telkes (1900-1995), although she was not involved in this project.
Telkes is a free global platform for roof and landowners, to connect with energy developers and investors who are seeking sites for their projects. Any land or roof owner can join the energy transition by posting an available plot in search of an energy developer. This is free of charge. Any unused land can be used, such as farmland, industrial land or large yards. If you are a suburban homeowner, you can post your roof to find a developer who will pay you to install a solar project.
Our network comprises hundreds of solar energy investors around the world who are willing to rent your land or roof for the long term in order to build a PV plant on it. Upload your plot today, and telkes.org will provide you with a free and non-binding estimate of the lease value that an investor may pay for your plot.
